About Visual Audit Analytics

Background

Visual Audit Analytics (VAA) was created out of a deep appreciation for the power and flexibility of ACL (now Diligent). For years, our founder, Mike Pretorius, relied on ACL to deliver complex, reliable audit analytics. He quickly recognized both its strengths and its challenges—particularly for new users facing a steep learning curve.

Mike wanted to make ACL more approachable without compromising its depth. His vision was clear: build a drag-and-drop graphical interface that allows auditors to visually design their workflows, while still generating the powerful ACL code behind the scenes.

That vision grew into what is now Visual Audit Analytics—a standalone companion app designed to:
